Quoted by Inside Futbol, the agent of Sunderland forward Emanuele Giaccherini has confirmed that Torino and Fiorentina want to sign his client this summer.

The 21-year-old is due back with the Black Cats for pre season after spending the 2015-16 campaign on loan with Bologna, netting seven times in 27 Serie A starts.

The Italy international joined the Italian outfit while Dick Advocaat was Sunderland boss and it remains to be seen whether current manager Sam Allardyce rates him.

If not, Giaccherini should not have trouble finding a new club as his agent claims that Torino and Fiorentina are both monitoring him in the North-East.

He told Radio Bologna Uno, via Inside Futbol: "Torino and Fiorentina are certainly on his trail.

"[Bologna] certainly have our recognition, but for us, they are an option like others, as he is a well known player and at some point you have to optimise your career as much as possible."

He joined the Premier League side in 2013 for £6.5 million (BBC) but he will not be remembered as a success at the Stadium of Light, should he leave.

Giaccherini, who was signed by compatriot Paolo Di Canio, netted four times in 32 Premier League appearances for Sunderland and it might be time to move on. His contract expires next summer.
