Celtic announced Brendan Rodgers as their new manager last week.
Brendan Rodgers has told Celtic’s official site that he is already looking forward to hearing the Parkhead crowd at full blast.
Rodgers was greeted by a large amount of supporters after being announced as manager, but that was just a taster of things to come.
And the Northern Ireland boss cannot wait for his first official match in charge of Celtic, when a raucous atmosphere should be created at Parkhead.
“I’m really excited about that,” he said. “It’s going to be a day I’m really looking forward to in terms of walking out there as the official manager in a game context.
“It can be a really exciting season for us but for that we need the supporters. I really do want to see the stadium full.”
Celtic supporters are massively enthused by the prospect of Rodgers being in charge and he should be welcomed by a passionate crowd.
The Parkhead faithful had begun to vote with their feet under Ronny Deila, but attendances should be back up with Rodgers in charge.
Rodgers will be determined to get off to a good start at Celtic to ensure that the feel-good factor remains around the Glasgow club for as long as possible.
Rodgers’ task in his first season at Parkhead will be to guide the side into the Champions League, while making sure they win their sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title.
