The Three Lions face Portugal this evening at Wembley, and Dier highlighted the 18-year-old Bayern Munich wonderkid as a main threat.

“I know a lot of the boys that play for the team and I grew up with some of them," Dier said. "Sanches is an exceptional talent."
Dier, 22, enjoyed a wonderful season with Spurs, and his performances saw him earn a call-up to the England squad, where he has since established himself as Roy Hodgson's first choice holding midfielder. He has gone on to make six appearances for his country and scored the winner against Germany in Berlin earlier this year.
He went on to explain to The Evening Standard about his incredible rise to international prominence, and highlighted his winner against Germany as a high point in his career.

"It was definitely the highlight not just of my time with the England team but also my football career as a whole," he said. "It was a crazy moment. It’s crazy really because last year I was with the Men’s Under-21s but I didn’t go to the U21s European Championship. And now, having made my senior England debut and with a couple of games under my belt, I feel part of the squad."
Dier is currently on duty with the England squad as they continue their preparations for Euro 2016, and he will be hoping to feature against Portugal tonight and further enhance his chances of starting in England's opening group game against Russia on June 11.
