And Joncker has hailed him, saying that the forward is good at all aspects of the game.

“What makes [Alex] different from many other boys is that, when you analyse him, he’s good at all aspects,” he told Arsenal Player.

“It’s not just him being a good player, he’s also a stable guy who’s working hard every day. He’s not getting distracted by having a lot of success.”

Iwobi will now be hoping that he can stay in the Arsenal first team next season once the summer transfer window is finished.

The Gunners are expected to be busy, with improving their forward options thought to be chief among their thoughts.

Iwobi will be keen to ensure he doesn’t lose his place if that happens, and his performances this past season should given him confidence he can remain a first team regular in future.
