Walter Mazzarri has reportedly made his first signing for Watford.
Ecuadorian club LDU Quito have revealed that Pervis Estupiñán is heading to Premier League side Watford.
New Watford manager Walter Mazzarri will surely be looking to bring in a host of new players to Vicarage Road and it looks like young defender Estupiñán is set to become the Italian’s first signing as Hornets boss.
Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito have announced through their Twitter handle that they have agreed a deal with Italian side Udinese for Estupiñán and the defender will be spending next season on loan at Watford.
Confirming the move, Quito released the following post:

Speaking about the transfer, Quito president Esteban Paz told CRE.com, "A few days ago we received an offer from Udinese for Pervis Estupiñán. And we have reached a potential agreement. The Italian club will have 50 percent and an option to buy the other 50 percent over the next two years."
While the transfer may look very complicated, Udinese and Watford are both owned by the Pozzo family and as a result loan transactions between the two sides have become common in recent years.
Estupiñán is a highly rated left-back who has represented the Ecuadorian national team at various youth levels and the defender is expected to join Watford’s academy when he arrives in England.
