Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a move for Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to The Star.

Mkhitaryan was signed for Dortmund by Jurgen Klopp but has only one deal remaining on his current contract at the club.

The Armenian was said to be interesting Arsenal, but it is now claimed Spurs have entered the race for his signature - although Dortmund would not want to let him leave cheaply.

Mkhitaryan was a key player for Thomas Tuchel's side, scoring 18 goals in all competitions for the club last season, and providing a staggering 20 assists - 11 goals and 15 assists in the Bundesliga.

The 27-year-old can play all over the attack, featuring on both the right and left wing for Dortmund this past season, as well as starting games in a central attacking midfield role.

He would be an outstanding signing for Spurs, with the prospect of him rotating with Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela to support Harry Kane in attack surely a combination which would cause nightmares for Premier League defences.
