Carlos Bacca's agent Sergio Barila has told Calcio Mercato that he will assess his options as West Ham attempt to lure the AC Milan star to England.

Bacca, 29, has been prolific throughout his career, smashing 111 goals in 205 appearances during his time in South America, before 31 goals in 54 games for Club Brugge handed him a big move to Sevilla in 2013.

The Colombian international became a star in Spain, scoring 49 goals in 108 games for Sevilla as he helped them win two successive Europa League titles in 2014 and 2015.

Now with AC Milan, Bacca hit 20 goals in his debut campaign for the Serie A side, and his continued goalscoring exploits appear to have attracted interest from West Ham.

Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Monday evening that Bacca was the subject of a €20m (£15.35m) bid, but Milan are looking for around £19.2m, whilst Bacca is believed to be keen on a move to the Olympic Stadium, as long as the Hammers match his £59,000-a-week wages.

Now, Bacca's agent Sergio Barila has been asked about the striker's future, and told Calcio Mercato that he will now consider his options this summer.

Barila suggested that he wants to know Milan's plans for the future before making a decision, and when asked about West Ham's alleged bid, he was coy and merely suggested that there is no concrete deal on the table just yet - but his comments about considering options will give West Ham hope of a deal.

"Now is the time to wait and to see what the future situation of the club will be," said Barila. "We have to really know the Milan project. After taking note of their project, I have to evaluate what is the best for Carlos and, above all, confirm the options that are presenting themselves. Carlos is a player with a great value on the market. It's normal to have clubs interested in knowing his situation."

"Now we have to be quiet and wait. There is nothing concrete and I can not say anything more concrete on this issue," he added when asked about West Ham.
