Barcelona defender Marc Bartra would be keen on a move to Liverpool, reports Catalan newspaper L’Esportiu.

The defender looks set to leave Barcelona this summer as they plan for next season.

It seems the defence will be an area they will be looking to change up, with current stars Javier Mascherano, Dani Alves and Bartra all linked with exits.

Bartra has reportedly attracted interest from the Premier League, with Marca claiming that both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in his services.

Liverpool in particular could be looking to improve their defence this summer, with that area of the team having struggled again this past season.

Central defence will need bolstering, with Kolo Toure and Martin Skrtel looking likely to leave, and doubts remaining about both Dejan Lovren and Mamadou Sakho.

And a pursuit for Bartra could be a smart one, with L’Esportiu now claiming that he would be interested in a move to Liverpool should it be on offer.

Earlier reports had him valued at £12million, which would arguably represent superb business for the Reds given he is just 25-years-old but has a wealth of experience to his name.
