Channel 5's Football League pundit Adam Virgo has taken to Twitter to suggest that any manager who would take the Leeds job 'must be desperate'.

Leeds confirmed on their official website earlier today that manager Steve Evans has left the club after his contract at Elland Road came to an end.

After weeks of confusion, Evans' future has been settled - but now the task for chairman Massimo Cellino is to finally find a long-term manager to take the job.

Since Cellino's arrival at Elland Road, Brian McDermott, David Hockaday, Darko Milanic, Neil Redfearn, Uwe Rosler and now Evans have all lost their job in the dugout; and that's in just two years.

With so much instability at Leeds, Cellino has a difficult task on his hands to convince somebody to take the job, and he's already finding that out.

Reports from BBC Sport and the Bristol Post claim that MK Dons boss Karl Robinson and Bristol Rovers manager Darrell Clarke both turned down the job last week, despite lying a division below Leeds.

Now, Channel 5's Football League pundit Adam Virgo has taken to Twitter to give a damning verdict on the hunt for a new boss, suggesting that any manager who wants the job must be desperate, because the constant sacking of managers at Elland Road is a major red flag for any potential candidate.
