Leeds United head coach latest.
Leed United's Liam Bridcutt
June is almost upon us and Leeds United fans are still waiting for an announcement on who will be the club's next head coach.
Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke and Karl Robinson of MK Dons are both known to have turned down the role, currently held by Steve Evans, who took over from Uwe Rosler last year.
Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino
Owner Massimo Cellino has though yet to commit his future to Evans, last week telling The Mirror: "For the first time in England, I have a lot of good managers willing to come to us at Leeds United.
"I have a good feeling. I cannot make a mistake this time! My players need someone special."
While the world waits on his next move, the bookies are certain over the current favourite to be Leeds head coach on the first day of the season... Steve Evans.
Leeds' manager Steve Evans
Evans is priced at Evens to be kept on with SkyBet, with oddsmakers clearly wondering whether Cellino will have to make a U-turn after being unsuccessful so far.
Interesting new names added to the mix are two old connections, Gianluca Festa, who The BBC reported Cellino tried to appoint in 2014 to replace Brian McDermott after taking over the club. Festa is now down to 12/1.
The other familiar face is ex Leeds player and manager, Gary McAllister, who is down to 14/1.
There could be reasons for either of these seeing their prices reduced, or the bookies could just be taking shots in the dark, unclear as to just what Cellino will do next - but there is no obvious challenger to Evans emerging at present, and he could end up with the role by default.
