According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United have made a second bid for Toulouse striker Martin Braithwaite, believed to be worth £3m.

The Hammers are in the market for at least one striker this summer and possibly two, given how their current options up front are in a state of flux.

Andy Carroll continues to have injury problems, Emmanuel Emenike will return to parent club Fenerbahce after his unsuccessful loan deal, whilst Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia failed to prove themselves as regular goalscorers this past season.

Now, the Daily Mail report that West Ham have turned their attention to Toulouse hitman Martin Braithwaite, with a second bid now on the table from Slaven Bilic's men.

Braithwaite, 24, joined Toulouse from Esbjerg in 2013, and has just enjoyed his best season with the French side having hit 13 goals in all competitions.

A Danish international with one goal in 14 caps, Braithwaite can play out wide or up front, offering pace in behind defences - something which would fit in well with Bilic's West Ham team.

The report claims that West Ham's latest offer is worth £3m, having seemingly had an initial bid rejected - and it's clear that Braithwaite wants the move to go through.

It's suggested that Braithwaite is returning from his native Denmark this week and will beg Toulouse to accept West Ham's offer, as he feels that a move to the Premier League is a dream for him, and wants the French club to let him realise that dream.

Whether Toulouse will want a little more money than just £3m remains to be seen, but having allegedly made two bids, it seems that the Hammers are very keen to land Braithwaite this summer.
