Burnley will be hoping to snatch long-term target Henri Lansbury on the cheap this summer – as reported by The Sun.

They report that the Nottingham Forest midfielder is available for just £2.5 million this summer. He is said to have a release clause in his contract at the City Ground that is only valid for one week in June.

Seam Dyche is known to be a massive fan of the Forest player – having attempted to sign him inn the past two summer transfer windows.

As reported by the Daily Mail last summer Burnley bid £4 million for the player for the second summer in a row. It was a bid that Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi had to deny accepting for the Forest captain, as reported by the BBC, despite reports to the contrary.

Burnley are in the market for a new central midfielder after losing last season’s Player of the Year Joey Barton to Scottish side Rangers.

Forest will be hopeful of keeping Lansbury once again, but the lure of the Premier League may prove too much for the midfield talent.
