Former Arsenal star Martin Keown has told The Daily Mail that he would love to play under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp is one of a number of top managers in the Premier League at the moment. With Pep Guardiola taking charge of Manchester City and Jose Mourinho becoming the new Manchester United boss, the 2016-17 campaign promises to be hugely fascinating.

Of the three box-office managers, Keown has picked Klopp as the one he would love to play for right now.

“There has never been a better time to be a Premier League player — just look at that array of coaching talent,” the former Arsenal star told The Daily Mail. “Jurgen Klopp excites me most.

“He looks like he is with his men for every step, every pass, every high and every low. I like his positive vibe and when I’m watching him, I’m thinking: ‘He’s up for the fight and I wish I was fighting alongside him’.”

Klopp was appointed the Liverpool manager in October 2015 following the departure of Brendan Rodgers, and he has done a good job at Anfield so far.

True, the Merseyside outfit failed to finish in the top four of the Premier League this past season, but the Reds reached the finals of the League Cup and the Europa League.

The former Borussia Dortmund head coach has already been a hit among the Liverpool fans and the neutrals.

Klopp is a charismatic figure who is also a very good coach, and he has already improved some of the Liverpool players.
