The Tottenham playmaker backs his compatriot's switch to Middlesbrough.
The 21-year-old winger sealed a move to the Teeside club from Ajax this week to become Aitor Karanka's first summer signing (The Guardian).
Eriksen knows a thing or two about joining a Premier League club from the Eredivisie, having left Ajax for Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.
The duo know each other from their time with the Dutch giants, as well as from Denmark's national team, and the 24-year-old says it's a "positive" move for his compatriot.
Speaking to Ekstra Bladet and quoted by Inside Futbol, Eriksen said: "It is positive. I spent some time talking to him about what he wants. I think, like him, that this is good."
Despite his age, Fischer has plenty of experience. Not only has he won some 21 caps for his country, but the jet-heeled winger has also managed over 100 appearances for Ajax, winning two Dutch top-flight titles in the process.
He moves to the North-East outfit for a reported £3.8 million (BBC), but if he helps keep Karanka's boys in the big time then that will look like a bargain in roughly 12 month's time.
