Keane was scathing in his criticism of Jose Mourinho
“He’s not my kind of cuppa tea," the former Republic of Ireland international said. "I find him really irritating when I’ve coached against him, but that’s just a personal thing."
Keane has been famous in the past for his scathing criticism of players and managers, but this time he did at least temper his critique of Mourinho with the realisation that he was the correct appointment during what has proven to be a tremendously difficult period for the Old Trafford club.
“He was always going to be a good option when United didn’t qualify for the Champions League," Keane added. "Fantastic CV and seems like a good fit."
Mourinho certainly has it all to do if he is to reverse the fortunes of the most successful club in England.
He is rumoured to have a transfer kitty of around £200 million, with many of the world's best players continually linked with a move to Manchester to join the Jose revolution.
With Mourinho's troublesome past many people have questioned the appointment of the former Chelsea manager, claiming that his attitude towards the game does not compliment the so-called 'Manchester United way'.
Although United fans want to see attractive football again, what they surely crave most is success, and that is what the appointment of Mourinho will liklely bring, irrelevant of the style he implements to help achieve that.
