PSG's Zlatan Ibrahimovic celebrates at the end of the match
Tottenham were last night linked with a stunning yet perhaps unlikely move for superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with the claims made by GianlucadiMarzio.com
It is reported that Spurs are one of two sides along with Manchester United to make an offer for the Swedish international, but that the striker was not left convinced by their offer.
This is likely financially related, with Tottenham needing to smash their wage structure to snap up the 35-year-old.
Ibrahimovic is a free agent and will choose his next club, having netted 50 goals in 51 appearances for PSG this past season.
The prospect of a dream strike partnership with Harry Kane is not high, but the duo would make for a frightening proposition for defences.
As a multiple time league winner various countries across Europe, Ibrahimovic would be the type of signing who would get Spurs over the hump and take them from being nearly-men to Premier League champions.
During his storied career, Zlatan has also knocked Tottenham's bitter North London rivals Arsenal out of the Champions League with two different clubs.

The striker's Champions League experience could have been vital for Spurs, who are back in the competition for the first time in five years.
The chance of signing him remains alive still, and initial contact is a start, but the finances are likely to kill chances of a switch, even if from a sporting perspective there is a lot about a switch which would make sense.
