Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson has promised there will be more arrivals at the club following the capture of Joey Barton, reports the Daily Mail.

Barton signed on at Rangers this week, agreeing a move from Championship winners Burnley where his contract was coming to an end.

He became Mark Warburton’s fourth signing of the summer, with Jordan Rossiter, Matt Crooks and Josh Windass all having agreed moves to Ibrox.

They are not expected to be the only arrivals at Rangers this summer though, with a busy summer expected for Gers as they gear up for their return to the Scottish Premiership.

And Robertson has promised that there will be several more players to arrive at Ibrox in this transfer window.

“We have made some good signings so far, Joey Barton is a fantastic signing for us, and Jordan Rossiter, Matt Crooks and Josh Windass as well,” the Daily Mail reports him saying.

“We have high hopes for them. There are more to come in, there are several more players to come in. I am really excited about next year.”

Next season certainly is promising to be a big one for the Scottish Premiership given Rangers are set to renew their rivalry with Celtic.

Many are expecting Mark Warburton’s side to challenge for the title, and given their work in the transfer market so far, they seem intent on doing so.

They face a fight though, with Celtic also likely to be busy after appointing Brendan Rodgers as their new manager and the Northern Irishman keen to impress in his first season.
