Quoted by the Express, Ronald de Boer has claimed that brother Frank would help to make John Stones a better player should he take charge at Everton.

Everton are currently looking for their next manager after sacking Roberto Martinez earlier in the campaign.

The Blues are yet to name his successor, with a number of names currently in the running for the position.

Frank de Boer is one of those reportedly in contention, and has openly expressed his willingness to take charge at Goodison Park.

His brother Ronald has also discussed his belief that his brother would be an ideal fit, and now he has suggested Everton should hire him because he would help to develop defender John Stones.

"Frank was a type like Stones," the Express reports him saying.

"My brother never kicked the ball in the stands in his life. Stones is the same. Frank can help him to get better. He would like to have a guy like Stones."

While De Boer thinks his brother would have a positive influence on Stones, it is debatable whether he will even be at the club next season.

Chelsea heavily courted the young star last summer, but the Blues fought off their advances to keep hold of him.

It has been suggested that they, and several other sides will come back for him in this transfer window, and it will be interesting to see if Everton can keep hold of him again.
