Arsenal may face a fight for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, as Paris Saint Germain have made contact over a move, reports L’Equipe.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with the Spanish forward, who has impressed during his time with the Italian giants.

Indeed, there has already been suggestions that Real Madrid are keen to activate a buy-back clause they put in the deal that took him to Juventus, and then sell him on this summer.

Arsenal were reportedly keen, with the Corriere dello Sport saying they had made a £51 million bid to the La Liga side to secure his signature.

However, it seems they will face a fight for the striker, as money rich Paris Saint Germain have already made a move for him.

According to L’Equipe, deputy sporting director Olivier Letang has met with Morata’s agent twice in the last ten days to discuss a potential move.

They are set to lose Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer so will need a striker to replace him in the team, and it appears that Morata is one of those being considered.

That will come as a big blow to Arsenal, who will know they cannot compete with the financial power that PSG have at their disposal.
