Ugandan midfielder Khalid Aucho has told Goal that he has received an approach to join Rangers this summer - and he wants a move to Ibrox.
The Gers have already snapped up four players for their return to the top flight of Scottish football, with Matt Crooks, Josh Windass, Jordan Rossiter and Joey Barton all penning deals with Mark Warburton's men.
Despite all four players being midfielders, and fans wanting to see other areas of the team being strengthened, Rangers are now being linked with another midfielder.
African Football reported on Wednesday that Ugandan international midfielder Khalid Aucho has attracted interest from Rangers, in what would be a shock move.

The Gor Mahia star, 22, has been compared to former Celtic ace Victor Wanyama, and would surely be a project signing if Rangers do make a move for him this summer.
Former Rangers player Bobby Williamson has managed both Uganda and Gor Mahia and feasibly could have recommended Aucho to his former club, otherwise it's a link that has come out of nowhere - and the midfielder himself as confirmed a move is in the works.
Speaking to Goal, Aucho admitted that he has received an approach from Rangers, but the deal is in the early stages - and he has already decided that he wants a move to Ibrox this summer.
"It is true Glasgow Rangers have approached me, they are interested in my services and as a matter of fact I want to join them," said Aucho. "Everything is on the initial stage, but I hope it goes through because it is every footballer’s dream to achieve such a feat. The club, (Gor Mahia) is aware of it and I hope that all will run smoothly," he added.
