Reading are searching for a new manager after Brian McDermott was axed on Friday following a second spell in charge of the Berkshire club.
McDermott, who led Reading to promotion to the Premier League in 2012, returned to the club for a second time in December, but he could turnaround the club's fortunes as they finished in 17th spot in the Championship.
Reading lost six of their final seven Championship games this season with McDermott winning just nine of his 30 games in charge.
