The father and agent of Anderlecht star Dennis Praet has told Abcdesevilla that his son wants to join Europa League winners Sevilla this summer in order to aid his development.
The talented youngster has enjoyed a terrific campaign at boyhood club Anderlecht this past season, impressing a number of onlookers as clubs queue up to sigh him in the summer transfer window.
However, the Premier League quartet look set to miss out on the 22-year-old, as his father has revealed how they are planning on moving to Sevilla this summer.
“Sevilla is a good place from all points of view, my son think they are the right club for him to grow. Many clubs have called me for Praet, but Sevilla has everything for him,” his father Herman Praet explained to ABCdesevilla.
“Aside from being European champions, they allow players to develop and have an important maturity process. Hopefully everything between Anderlecht and Sevilla will be resolved right away.”
Praet, an exciting attacking midfielder, is rated at £10 million (The Sun) and has 100 league appearances under his belt, despite still being considered a young prospect.
He has seemingly outgrown Anderlecht, and La Liga side Sevilla would no doubt be an excellent move as they rank among the finest clubs in Europe in terms of developing future stars.
