A local pub has begun selling a Rafa Benitez Burger to celebrate the Spaniard's decision to stay at Newcastle, despite their relegation to the Championship.
Newcastle fans behind manager Rafael Benitez
Considering the optimistic mood on Tyneside at the moment, you'd be forgiven for thinking Newcastle United had avoided relegation to the Championship last season, but the news that current boss Rafael Benitez is to extend his stay at the Magpies has given everyone a noticeable lift.
In fact, locals have got so excited they've already started naming food after the Spaniard, with popular Twitter fan account @TaylorandBesty recently stumbling upon the 'Rafa Benitez Burger' at a local Gateshead pub.
Served with a combination of crispy Spanish chorizo and locally sourced black pudding, this culinary delight pays homage to what is fast becoming the footballing love affair of the summer.
It got many other Newcastle fans thinking about how best to immortalise other high-profile members of the club's recent history in burger form, with hilarious and sometimes brutal results.

While some of those ideas are unlikely to be making it onto a menu near you any time soon, the Rafa Benitez Burger definitely looks capable of taking away the relegation blues.
