Neville Southall has taken to social networking site Twitter to insist he does not want to see David Moyes make a return to Everton.

Everton are currently looking for their next permanent manager having sacked Roberto Martinez earlier in the season.

A number of names have been linked with the position since the Catalan departed, ranging from Ronald Koeman to Frank de Boer.

Former manager David Moyes has also been linked with the position, with him having turned pulled out of the running for the vacant Aston Villa job this week.

The club’s fans have not reacted warmly to the suggestion of a return for the Scot, and Southall is on of them who do not want to see it happen.

It will certainly be interesting to see who takes charge at Goodison Park next season given the names that have been linked.

The club seems determined to appoint a big name who can usher in a bright future following the investment of Farhad Moshiri.

Indeed, the position is one that is highly attractive given the funds and squad on offer, and it seems the club will take their time making the right choice.
