New Liverpool signings Loris Karius has told the club’s official website that a meeting with Jurgen Klopp left him feeling good about the move to Anfield.

Karius completed his move to Liverpool on Tuesday, becoming the club’s third signing of the summer transfer window.

His arrival has been greeted in positive fashion, with many believing he will prove a smart capture based on the level he showed in the Bundesliga.

Jurgen Klopp was clearly keen to get him into the squad to challenge current number one Simon Mignolet, with the Belgian coming in for criticism again this past season.

And Karius says that a meeting with the German boss left him feeling good about the move to Liverpool.

“It’s a very good feeling and it’s an honour to play for a club like this,” he told liverpoolfc.com.

“I spoke to the manager and I had a good feeling afterwards because he told me what he wants to do with the club and with the players.”

It will now be interesting to see whether Karius becomes the new Liverpool number one following his arrival.

Simon Mignolet has hardly shone since joining from Sunderland, with it long questioned if he is of the level required if they wish to compete for honours.

The capture of Karius, who was highly rated in the Bundesliga, shows Klopp has reservations too and who the Liverpool number one is next season remains to be seen.
