Arsenal are optimistic they will be able to sign Australian international midfielder Tom Rogic from Celtic, The Sun report.

The paper claim Rogic is one of four players they are currently tracking, along with Alvaro Morata of Juventus, Rob Holding of Bolton, and Leicester's Ben Chilwell.

The Morata deal is described more complicated, while Liverpool are in pole position for Chilwell, but manager Arsene Wenger is claimed to be optimistic of landing both Rogic and Holding.

Arsenal believe Rogic will be available at £7 million.

Rogic bounced back last season after an injury hit spell the year prior and played a key role in Celtic clinching a fifth successive Scottish Premiership title.

The 23-year-old's contract runs out in 12 months time, which could make it difficult for Celtic to resist a sizeable offer.

He scored eight goals in 30 games last season and provided seven assists, adding a further two goals in domestic cup competition.

Arsenal have already signed one midfielder this transfer window already, clinching the signature of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Moenchengladbach.

They did however allow two to leave on free transfers, veterans Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky.
