Is this Manchester United's brand new Adidas home kit for 2016/17

Could this picture be Manchester United's new Adidas home kit for 2016/17?

The picture was posted on Twitter by a United fan account, which claimed it was already on sale in America.

Emblazoned with new sponsors Chevrolet, the shirt also has a nod to the club's former name Newton Heath inside it's collar.

With manager Louis van Gaal sacked, and Jose Mourinho's appointment as his replacement reportedly imminent, report The BBC, everything about the Red Devils seems fresh.

All they will then need is a few more big name players to wear it. Here are three potential signings as named by The Sun earlier this week, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gonzalo Higuain and John Stones...

United are looking to bounce back from a campaign where they finished outside the Champions League places and were knocked out of the group stages upon their return to the competition.

Investment from new sponsors Chevrolet and kit manufacturers Adidas will go some way to ensuring that does not repeat itself next season, and the kit, if this is the genuine article, will be their attire of choice as they look to get back into the Premier League title hunt.
