The Forest player was showing off the club's new kit.
Nottingham Forest introduced fans to their new kit for next season earlier today. The club’s new strip, manufactured once again by Adidas, has seemingly been very popular since it was unveiled.
The kit is in traditional red but in a twist is on contrast horizontal striping pattern. The Collar is styled in a grandad collar with the traditional three-stripes of Adidas on the shoulders. New sponsors 888 Sport adorn the front of a classic looking kit that will be the envy of many a non-Forest fan.
It was certainly approved by Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga. He posted this picture on his Twitter account earlier today – asking fans what they thought of the new strip. Even a former and current player responded - with Marlon Harewood and Henri Lansbury responding.
Fans responded in good spirits:
@BrittOfficials Kit = . Is the number on the front how many goals you're going to score next season?— London Trickies (@LondonTrickies) May 25, 2016

@BrittOfficials you will look good scoring 20+goals in that shirt britt— Paddy Reston (@PaddyReston) May 25, 2016
@BrittOfficials Will look even better when you start banging them in next season.— jason heaford (@heaftrent) May 25, 2016
The general consensus is that Assombalonga will be scoring plenty of goals in this kit going forward.
He netted one goal in 2015-16, in the final game of the campaign.
It was his first goal after spending 14 months on the sidelines after a hideous knee injury suffered in February 2015.
Prior to that he had netted 15 goals in 32 appearances for Forest and, fully-fit, will hope to show similar form in 2016-17.
