According to the Daily Mirror, Premier League duo Everton and West Ham United will probably not be able to call on the services of Ramiro Funes Mori and Manuel Lanzini for the start of the upcoming Premier League season due to the fact that the two stars have been included in the provisional Argentina squad for the Olympics.

The Olympics has often been a source of much frustration for Premier League managers and it looks like Everton and West Ham will be affected by the upcoming games in Rio later this year.

The Daily Mirror reports that Argentina manager Gerard Martino has included Everton’s Funes Mori and West Ham’s Lanzini in the provisional 35-man squad for the upcoming Olympic games in Rio.

The showpiece event has been scheduled to run from August 4 to August 20 and this means that the two participating players will miss pre-season as well as at least one month of action in the Premier League.

West Ham start their campaign as early as June 30 due to their involvement in the Europa League and Lanzini potentially faces the prospect of missing a large chunk of the initial matches for the Hammers.
