HITC Sport writers have compiled a list of the top 50 players at Euro 2016, assessing players from across the 24 countries taking part at this summer's tournament.

Coming in at number 30 is England and Tottenham star Dele Alli, who enjoyed a stunning season at domestic level.

International record: 6 Caps, 1 Goal.

2015/16: Alli was always considered to be one of English football's brightest young players from his time at Milton Keynes Dons, but few could have expected him to immediately hit the headlines in the Premier League.

The attacking midfielder notched ten goals and nine assists in the Premier League, driving Tottenham into the top four and becoming a full England international in the process, as he announced his arrival on the international stage with a brilliant long-range goal against France in November.

Controversial moment: Alli's dark side has been evident on a number of occasions this season, and after a couple of spats with various players, Alli was caught in the act as cameras showed him punching West Brom's Claudio Yacob in the stomach during Tottenham's 1-1 draw with West Brom - earning him a three-match ban. Roy Hodgson may have some concerns about Alli's temperament in pressure situations this summer as a result.

What can we expect?

After having time to re-charge his batteries during that ban, Alli should come back refreshed and ready to play for England this summer.

There are still questions over whether he will actually start for England, but many believe he should be given the chance to play behind his Tottenham team-mate Harry Kane, given the almost telepathic connection the duo showed for Spurs this season.

Yet with Wayne Rooney in contention too, Alli could be dropped into a deeper midfield role, where some of his attacking ability will be nullified. If given the chance to play in his usual No. 10 role, Alli could bring his club form to Euro 2016, and leave as one of the tournament's biggest stars.

Should Dele Alli be higher on this list? Should he be on it at all?
