Derby County missed out on promotion into the Premier League once again after losing out to Hull City during the Championship playoff semi-finals and it looks like the Rams will be undergoing a mass overhaul during the summer.
There is expected to be changes at the managerial level initially as caretaker boss Darren Wassall looks likely to be replaced and a host of names such as Gary Rowett, Roberto Martinez, Mark Warburton, Tim Sherwood and Nigel Pearson have all been touted with a move to the iPro stadium.
The Derby Telegraph recently conducted a poll among the fans regarding whom they like to see take over at the club in the summer and it has been revealed that many are favouring Pearson, with the former Leicester boss garnering 33% of the votes.
Ex-Everton manager Roberto Martinez came in second with 19% while Rangers boss Mark Warburton received 18%. Birmingham City’s Gary Rowett perhaps surprisingly earned just 11% of the votes while current Bookies’ favourite Tim Sherwood only received backing from 4% of the fans.
