According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Juventus and Napoli want to sign Everton’s Romelu Lukaku.
The Italian publication claims that the Serie A duo see the Belgium international as an ideal alternative for Juve’s Alvaro Morata and Napoli’s Marco Gabbiadini, two players expected to move on this summer.
Everton have vastly under-performed this season and as a result a number of their better players have been linked with clubs set to feature in next season’s Champions League.
Lukaku has already mentioned on more than one occasion his goal of playing at the very top level, and it now appears he is gearing up for a potential big-money summer switch to one of Europe’s elite clubs.
Juventus established themselves as one of Europe’s best with yet another Italian league and cup double this past season, yet they could lose star striker Alvaro Morata back to Real Madrid this summer.
In the event the Spanish ace does leave, the Old Lady allegedly see Lukaku as an ideal alternative although they face competition from fellow title challengers Napoli as they seek summer reinforcements.
Lukaku will be away on international duty with Belgium this summer, and impressive performances at the European Championships will only cause his stock to rise and make an exit from Everton all the more likely.
