The winger was handed the best individual performance award for his showing against Tottenham Hotspur.
Antonio enjoyed a fine first season at Upton Park since making the move from Nottingham Forest.
He had started the year on the bench, but broke into the first-team and became a regular in Slaven Bilic’s team before too long.
His displays did not go unnoticed as he earned the praise of the West Ham faithful for his performances.
One display against Tottenham Hotspur, in which he scored the winning goal, was rewarded with the club’s Best Individual Performance gong in their end of season awards.
But he has admitted that he was surprised to receive the prize ahead of star man Dimitri Payet.
“If I am honest I was not expecting it as I thought Dimitri would have picked up this award. But I am over the moon to have won it and hopefully I can keep moving on.”
It will now be interesting to see if Antonio remains in the West Ham first-team next season.
He has been something of a surprise package this past season, with few expecting him to have the impact that he had.
But with the club looking to spend big in the summer improving the squad he could be one that loses his place.
