Queens Park Rangers supporters have had a mixed reaction to the news that they could be about to sign Brentford defender Jake Bidwell.
Bidwell has been lined up for a move to Loftus Road by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, with the defender one of the R’s top targets.
QPR have already had one bid rejected by Brentford, and they are expected to go back in for the 23-year-old soon.
Sky Sports suggest that Brentford are resigned to losing Bidwell, and QPR fans seem largely enthused by the prospect of the left-back arriving.
Although some Rangers fans are a little concerned about the price-tag - which is reportedly around £2 million - there is widespread belief that he would improve their defence.
Here is the best reaction from QPR fans on social media site Twitter.
Bidwell will be a man's signing.— Perryqpr (@perrysmy) May 24, 2016
Bidwell would be a very good signing for #QPR. Won't come cheap though.— Rob Brennan (@RobBrennan82) May 24, 2016
If we sign Bidwell & then Brentford replace him with Henry. We'd have been done. Especially for £3m...Out of contract next summer too— Ashley Allen (@QPRFC_Ash) May 24, 2016
@QPRFC_Ash Seriously though. Bidwell would make Gambin look like Yaya Toure.— Owen (@QPRFORLIFE) May 24, 2016
The hate bidwell would get if he signed for us hahaha! #BidwellKnows— Jack Nichols (@Jacknichols7) May 23, 2016
I don't know what this bidwell is like but if him leaving makes the Brentford fans cry I will have him— Lee Costello (@LeeHurdle) May 23, 2016
Bidwell would be a class signing and exactly what we should be going for.— J.E.D (@Ramsgatehoop) May 23, 2016
Bidwell is still a relatively young player, but he has gained a vast amount of experience at Brentford over the years.
If Bidwell was brought to QPR, he would be in competition with Jake Robinson for a place in the first-team.
