Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Danny Drinkwater from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.

According to a recent report in The Mirror, Liverpool are interested in signing Drinkwater from Leicester City, with manager Jurgen Klopp having been impressed with his performances this season.

The former Manchester United prospect enjoyed a superb 2015-16 campaign for Leicester and played a key role in their Premier League title triumph.

The England international was a force for Claudio Ranieri’s side in midfield and could even play for his country at the Euro 2016 finals in France in the summer.

The 26-year-old midfielder scored two goals and created 44 chances in 35 Premier League appearances for Leicester this past season.

Drinkwater had a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 30%, and won 29 headers, 31 dribbles and 74 tackles.

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to discuss whether signing Drinkwater from Leicester in the summer transfer window would be a good move.
