Leeds United have approached Bristol Rovers over a move for Darrell Clarke.

Bristol Rovers manager Darrell Clarke has jumped to the front of the queue of managers being pursued by Leeds United.
It remains to be seen whether the Whites are planning a renewed bid for the 38-year-old, who's been offered a new three-year deal at the Memorial Stadium, where he's delivered back-to-back promotions.
Leeds, of course, already have a manager in the shape of Steve Evans, though the Scot's contract expires at the end of next month.
Despite Evans' insistence he'll return to work on Wednesday following a short break, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, his Elland Road future is looking increasingly bleak.
Leeds United manager Steve Evans applauds the fans
If the 53-year-old is to be relieved of his duties, he'll be the sixth manager to do so in Massimo Cellino's two-year reign.
And with no head of recruitment, no goalkeeping coach and no pre-season in place at Leeds, most Gasheads fear that if Clarke were to jump ship, he'd be making a fairly sizeable mistake...
Surely Clarke won't go, Leeds is a mess under Cellino, he has everything he needs here, would be a real shame if he departs #UTG— Cameron Bellamy (@ScarfaceCam) May 24, 2016
Remember today Gasheads if we are struggling next season and people start calling for DC to be replaced #UTG— Stu Voo (@HanhamGas) May 24, 2016

Leeds is no longer a club where managers go to progress their careers! DC is ambitious but he ain't bloody stupid #UTG— Nick Turner (@nickturner1883) May 24, 2016

Leeds United are undoubtedly a massive club, however they are currently a spent force living off past glories with a volatile owner #UTG— Ben George Pratt (@benpratt93) May 23, 2016
Can't see DC going to Leeds, stalemate club and an owner that has a completely different philosophy - stay with the club on the rise #UTG— Jake Bryant (@jake_bryant14) May 23, 2016
