Alli featured for England against Turkey in a friendly international match at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.

The England international midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Three Lions won 2-1.

This was the first competitive match for the 20-year-old since late April, as he was suspended for Tottenham’s final three Premier League games of the 2015-16 campaign.

The former Milton Keynes Dons youngster was a key player for Spurs this past season, and his absence cost the North London outfit dearly.

Alli played well on his return to competitive action, providing the assist for Tottenham teammate Harry Kane to open the scoring for England against Turkey after just three minutes.
