Stan Collymore believes that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier will be crucial for England at Euro 2016.

Dier started England’s friendly against Turkey yesterday, alongside four of his other Spurs teammates.

The 22-year-old was given a shielding role in midfield, and Collymore believes that the youngster could be vital in France, to protect a vulnerable backline.

England’s defence was once again exposed on occasion against Turkey yesterday, but the Three Lions managed to get the victory.

England managed to beat Turkey 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium, with Dier putting in a solid display.
