MK Dons Manager Karl RobinsonMilton Keynes Dons manager Karl Robinson has rejected the chance to take charge of Leeds United, according to Sky Sports.

It has been reported that Leeds owner Massimo Cellino and Robinson held talks after which the latter decided not to take up the offer.

Robinson has been in charge of MK Dons since May 2010 and guided the club to promotion to the Championship at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

However, the Dons have been relegated from the second tier of English football and will play in League One next season.

Sky Sports claim that Leeds are preparing to move on from Robinson and have identified Darrell Clarke as their next managerial candidate.

"Leeds are preparing to move on to their next target - the club intends to speak to Bristol Rovers about the availability of their manager Darrell Clarke," states the report on Skysports.com.

Clarke is currently in charge of Bristol Rovers, who got promoted from League Two this past season and will feature in League One during the 2016-17 campaign.

Steve Evans is in charge of Leeds at the moment, but his current contract with the West Yorkshire outfit runs out at the end of next month.
