Everton and Sevilla are reportedly interested in signing Fenerbahce midfielder Mehmet Topal in the summer transfer window.

Topal is on the books of Fenerbahce at the moment, but the defensive midfielder will become a free agent at the end of next month when his current contract with the Turkish gaints runs out.

It has been reported by Fanatik that Premier League outfit Everton want to sign the Turkey international on a free transfer.

It has also been claimed that Spanish outfit Sevilla want to secure the services of the 30-year-old in the summer.

Interestingly, Sevilla head coach Unai Emery has been linked with the vacant managerial role at Everton.

According to The Telegraph, Everton will hold talks with the former Valencia boss this week.

The Merseyside outfit are looking for a new manager following the departure of Roberto Martinez earlier this month.

Topal is a very good player, and it will be interesting to see what he does regarding his future in the summer.

Joining Sevilla will mean that the Turkey international will be able to play in the Champions League next season, while Everton failed to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League this past campaign.
