Burnley star Joey Barton has suggested on social networking site Twitter that he has made a discussion regarding his future.
The former Newcastle United midfielder is on the books of Burnley at the moment, but his current contract with the Premier League-bound outfit runs out at the end of next month.
The Englishman was one of the best players in the Championship this past season, and Scottish giants Rangers are interested in signing him on a free transfer in the summer.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton recently told BBC Sport that he wants to recruit the 33-year-old on a free in the summer transfer window.
Barton has suggested on Twitter that he has made a decision on his future, although his message is quite cryptic and does not indicate whether he will join Rangers or stay at Burnley.
Tough decision but it's now made. Onwards and upwards from here. #Rollupandspendyourlastdime— Joseph Barton (@Joey7Barton) May 23, 2016
Barton scored three goals and created 29 chances in 38 Championship appearances for Burnley this past season.
The Englishman had a pass accuracy of 75% and a shot accuracy of 31%, and won 67 headers, 15 dribbles and 82 tackles.
