Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has bemoaned Louis van Gaal's exit from Manchester United.
The Times reported Van Gaal was fired by the club this morning, making way for Jose Mourinho to take over.
Van Gaal won the FA Cup with United on Saturday, but this was not enough to save him from his fate, with United's decision seemingly already made.
Carragher expressed that he was disappointed to see Van Gaal leave.
Going to miss LVG and his press conferences! #sexmasochism— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) May 23, 2016
Van Gaal was appointed in 2014, and can now boast he has won trophies in Holland, Spain, Germany and Italy, but United's league form was the key factor in his exit.
Carragher indicated he will miss Van Gaal's character, with the Dutchman making a mark with his sometimes outlandish press conferences.
His fall to the touchline against Arsenal was seen as a moment of comedic genius, but United care little for such personality, choosing to bring in one of the most divisive men in world football in his place, Jose Mourinho.
