Gary Lineker says Tottenham and Leicester duo are a handful

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and Leicester City star Jamie Vardy both scored for England against Turkey on Sunday.

England's Jamie VardyTottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker has suggested on social networking site Twitter that England head coach Roy Hodgson should play strikers Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane together.

Leicester City star Vardy and Tottenham youngster Kane started the friendly international match between England and Turkey at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.

Both the strikers scored, as the Thee Lions won the game 2-1 to step up their preparations for the Euro 2016 finals in France in the summer.

Former Tottenham striker Lineker believes that it will be tough to resist the temptation of playing the two strikers together at the European Championship.

Kane scored 25 goals and created 44 chances in 38 Premier League appearances for Tottenham this past season.

Vardy scored 24 goals and created 46 chances in 36 league matches for Leicester during the 2015-16 campaign.

The duo showed against Turkey that they can play together successfully, and perhaps Hodgson should look into this in the coming weeks.England's Harry Kane
