Brendan Rodgers has been announced as Ronny Deila's successor at Celtic.
Brendan Rodgers has told Celtic’s official site that he will promise to give his all for the Glasgow club.
Rodgers was announced as Celtic boss last week, and his appointment has captured the imagination of supporters at Parkhead.
The former Liverpool boss is a high profile addition to Celtic’s staff, and he is expected to deliver a great deal of success to the Bhoys.
Rodgers has not gone as far as to guarantee trophies, but he has stated that he will work as hard as possible to make sure his time at the Scottish club is productive.
“I know what a magnificent support Celtic enjoys and I can promise our fans one thing - that I will be doing everything I can to give you a team that you can be proud of and a team that delivers,” he said.
"I can't wait to be in Paradise with our team and our fans as we all get to work.”
Rodgers takes over from Ronny Deila at Celtic, and he has a high level of domestic success to live up to.
Deila won the Scottish Premiership title in both his seasons in charge, meaning that Celtic have now won the last six top flight titles.
The Bhoys will be looking to make that seven in a row under Rodgers’ stewardship, but they will also want greater success in Europe.
Celtic have not won a European fixture, beyond the qualification stages, for two seasons now - and Rodgers will be tasked with ensuring that they perform much better in the Champions League this time around.
