West Ham United are set to invest heavily ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium.

With the summer transfer window drawing closer, we take a look at how West Ham United’s team could look next season.

Goalkeeper: Adrian

A solid and reliable presence, Adrian is likely to remain as West Ham’s number one next season.

Right-back: Gregory Van Der Wiel/Sam Byram

Right-back is likely to be a position where West Ham aim to strengthen in the summer, given they have had to play Michail Antonio there for much of the past season.

Antonio has performed reasonably well for a winger, out of position, but he still has shown signs of defensive vulnerability.

PSG’s Van Der Wiel has been touted as a potential target, and Sam Byram is likely to provide strong cover.

Centre-backs: Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna

The pair struck up a good partnership for West Ham last season, and with James Tomkins also in reserve, centre-back is unlikely to be a position that the Hammers prioritise improving.

Left-back: Aaron Cresswell

Cresswell has become one of the Premier League’s finest left-backs. His place looks secure.

Defensive midfield: Mark Noble and Cheikhou Kouyate

Arguably two of the Premier League’s most underrated players. Noble has been brilliant this past season, and has led by example, while Kouyate is the complete midfielder.

Right-wing: Theo Walcott

West Ham have been heavily linked with Walcott recently, and he would make a very exciting addition for West Ham’s first season at the Olympic Stadium.

Attacking midfield: Dimitri Payet

One of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League, Payet is set to be West Ham’s key man once again next term.

Left-wing: Manuel Lanzini

The Argentine has enjoyed a wonderful debut campaign in English football, and he should progress even further next term.

Striker: Alexandre Lacazette

West Ham are chasing a striker, and have plenty of money to spend to try and find one.

Lacazette has been one of their early targets, and although the Hammers’ efforts have proven fruitless so far, they may try and force through a deal as the window draws on.
