Steve Parish reacts on Twitter to Crystal Palace defeat

Crystal Palace lost to Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday evening.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Manchester United on Saturday evening.

Palace lost the final of the FA Cup 2-1 to Premier League rivals United at the Wembley Stadium in London.

After a goalless first half, substitute Jason Puncheon put the Eagles in the lead with a powerful finish in the 78th minute.

Juan Mata restored parity for United just four minutes later, and Jesse Lingard scored the winner in extra time.

Palace chairman Parish has expressed his disappointment at the final result, but he is confident that the team will bounce back from the defeat.

Over the course of the 120 minutes at the Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday evening, Palace had 34% of the possession, took 14 shots of which six were on target, and earned eight corners.

United had 66% of the possession, took 24 shots of which just three were on target, and earned 12 corners.
