The former Liverpool manager was confirmed as the new Celtic boss on Friday afternoon.
He has signed a rolling one-year contract with the club, his first job since leaving Anfield back in October 2015.
His arrival has been widely praised by fans and pundits alike, with many considering it something of a coup for the Hoops.
And Brown has added his thoughts to the mix, saying that the players at Celtic are all delighted that Rodgers has been brought in.
“The lads are in a group chat and we speak quite a lot and we are all delighted with Brendan coming in,” he told celticfc.net.
“It will be a fresh start for everyone and everyone will have to prove their worth. It’s definitely exciting.”
It will now be interesting to see how many of the current Celtic squad that Rodgers elects to keep in his squad.
Many believe that a number of signings former boss Ronny Deila made during his reign were not good enough, as the club tried to buy cheap and sell high.
It ultimately ended up with several poor signings under the Norwegian’s stewardship, and how many Rodgers decides to move on will be one of the major things he must decide this summer.
