Everton sacked Roberto Martinez earlier this month after a disappointing campaign for the Toffees.
They finished 11th in the table, the second successive year they have failed to secure a top 10 finish.
That is a position many believe is far below where they should have been finishing given the talent in their current squad.
Ultimately it cost Martinez his job, as the Blues elected to end his three-year reign amid protests from the club's fans about the Spaniard.
They have been without a permanent boss since sacking Paul Clement, with Darren Wassall having been in temporary charge since February.
He will also be given the chance of an interview, despite their disappointing exit to Hull City in the play-off semi-finals under his leadership.
Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett is another reportedly being considered, while Nigel Pearson is also said to be in the mix.
