Mills worried for England's Wilshere

The Arsenal midfielder looks likely to be a part of England's squad at Euro 2016.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Danny Mills has predicted that teams will target England midfielder Jack Wilshere at Euro 2016.

The Arsenal star has spent the majority of the season on the treatment table, having picked up an injury on the eve of the last campaign.

He is back fit now though, returning for Arsenal and this past season came to an end and now featuring for England in Sunday’s win over Turkey.

He looks set to be part of the 23-man squad that will travel to Euro 2016 this summer, with manager Roy Hodgson seeming determined to include him.

But Mills has warned the Three Lions that their opponents will target the Arsenal man because of his ‘glass ankles’.

"Teams will know Wilshere has glass ankles. They'll target him,” he predicted to BBC Radio 5 Live.

It will certainly be interesting to see if Wilshere is targeted this summer should he be a regular starter for England at Euro 2016.

There is no denying his injury record, and a number of his opponents are sure to know he could be the weak link that they can expose.

England will surely be aware of this too though, and will likely have plans to ensure that the Arsenal man can remain fit throughout.
