Newcastle United are keen to keep hold of most of their key players this summer.
Newcastle are eager to keep the bulk of their squad together, following their relegation to the Championship.
The Magpies are convinced that their current team would be able to bounce straight back, and they are eager to knock back any offers that come their way for key players.
However, Sissoko and Wijnaldum are both reportedly set to leave St. James’ Park.
Sissoko has previously expressed a desire to play in the Champions League, while Wijnaldum has been linked with a range of Premier League sides in recent times.
Newcastle are now apparently resigned to losing the pair, and they may not be the only departures.
Papiss Cisse and Cheick Tiote are both believed to be hoping to move away from Newcastle, as they want moves to the North East.
Cisse and Tiote are amongst Newcastle’s top earners, and the Tynesiders could be willing to allow them to exit.
